Dr. Dirk Jan Menger studied medicine at the University of Amsterdam. During his studies, he conducted scientific research at UCLA, University of California, Los Angeles, in the United States. His fascination with Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) led to his specialization in this field, which he completed at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) in Amsterdam. After his training as an ENT doctor, Dr. Menger completed the American postgraduate training "Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" and is certified as a Facial Plastic Surgeon (IBCFPRS and EBCFPRS).
Specialization
Dr. Menger has fully devoted himself to facial plastic surgery. He offers various treatments, including rhinoplasty, eyelid corrections (blepharoplasty), lip lifts, ear corrections, eyebrow lifts, chin implants, and facelift surgery.
Experience and Quality:
With over 20 years of experience and hundreds of surgeries per year, Dr. Menger is one of the most experienced facial plastic surgeons in Europe. His beautiful results have earned him an international reputation. He is regularly invited to give lectures and perform live surgical procedures. On average, Dr. Menger gives 20 lectures per year in Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, and Asia.

Dr. Menger is not only a leading surgeon but also the organizer and Course Director of the renowned international course 'International Course in Advanced Rhinoplasty Techniques'. This course, intended for plastic surgeons and ENT doctors, is one of the most respected courses in the field of rhinoplasty in Europe and enjoys worldwide recognition. Participants from an average of 20 countries participate annually.

Trainer:
In addition to his work as a surgeon, Dr. Menger contributes to the development of future generations of medical professionals by training ENT doctors and (inter)national medical specialists (fellows). These fellows, graduated ENT doctors and plastic surgeons, gain experience in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery over a period of several months to a year. In private clinics, Dr. Menger performs all surgeries himself.

Research:
Dr. Menger has conducted extensive scientific research in the field of facial plastic surgery and published in leading international medical journals. He obtained his Ph.D. from Utrecht University with a dissertation titled 'The Nasal Valve: New Methods for Reconstruction, Suspension and Objective Measurements'. For his contribution to the field, Dr. Menger received the first prize from the British Rhinology Society for the best scientific article.

European Board for Certification in Facial Plastic Surgery (EBCFPRS):
Dr. Menger is a member of the Board of Directors (Treasurer) and examiner at the EBCFPRS. This organization is the gold standard in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Menger is a member of the Board at the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies (IFFPS) and the International Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (IBCFPRS).
